Overview
IoT connects sensing and actuation in physical objects to software services. In a spatial application, measurements become useful when they can be associated with the correct asset, place and time.

IoT supplies changing real-world information for digital twins and contextual AR. It is an optional integration layer rather than a defining commitment.
How it works
Sensors produce observations, gateways or networks transport them, and services relate them to devices and assets. Applications must account for timestamps, units, identity and data quality.
