Overview
This module describes immersive AR sessions, environment blend modes and interaction modes. It distinguishes how optical, passthrough and opaque display systems compose the experience.

Role in the Augmentiverse
It provides the web AR session model. Hit testing, anchors and other capabilities are specified separately and must be checked on the target implementation.
Where it is useful
- AR session negotiation
- Compositing virtual content with physical surroundings
Limits and implementation choices
- Work in progress; support is implementation-dependent.
- The module alone does not provide durable cross-session anchors.
