Digital twins

Overview
A digital twin relates a digital representation to a physical object, process or environment through data. The connection, update frequency and model fidelity depend on the application. A static 3D model alone is not evidence of a live twin.

Twins can supply spatial context and operational data for AR views. They support the framework but are not required for every anchored experience.
How it works
Sensors and source systems update a model. Applications interpret those observations, simulate changes and display relevant information, including through spatial interfaces.
