Role in the Augmentiverse
Credentials can support portable qualifications, permissions or provenance in spatial services. They complement identifiers and access policies.
Where it is useful
- Professional qualification checks
- Content provenance and access decisions
Limits and implementation choices
- Verification of a signature does not establish the truth of every claim.
- Selective disclosure and privacy require suitable mechanisms and careful design.
